Exhibition Banner Printing in Delhi NCR: Roll-Up, Flex & Pop-Up Display Guide

By Rajesh Aggarwal, Proprietor  ·  May 2026  ·  7 min read

Delhi NCR hosts hundreds of trade shows, corporate exhibitions, product launches, and government expos every year, in exhibition centres, hotels and convention venues. When a company books a stall, the banner and display material order often comes close to the event. This guide covers the formats used for exhibition displays in Delhi NCR, file specifications, and what to order when time is tight.

Exhibition Display Formats: Which One for Which Situation

1. Roll-Up (Retractable) Banners

The most ordered exhibition display in India. A spring-loaded aluminium cassette at the base stores the printed banner; the graphic pulls up and locks into a support pole. Setup takes under 60 seconds, requires no tools, and the whole unit packs into a carry bag for transport.

  • Standard size: 85cm × 200cm, fits most exhibition stalls
  • Premium size: 100cm × 200cm or 120cm × 200cm, wider format for premium stalls
  • Material: Polyester film (glossy or matte) or PVC. Both accept high-resolution UV print
  • Resolution: Minimum 100 DPI at full size (files designed at 150 DPI are safer)
  • Best for: Individual stall branding, reception desks, seminar rooms, product launches

Cost for roll-up banners depends mainly on size (standard vs. premium cassette) and whether you need a full new unit or just a replacement graphic for an existing cassette — double-sided printing adds further cost. Share your size and quantity for an exact quote.

2. Flex Banners (Frontlit / Backlit)

PVC flex banners are the large-format workhorse for outdoor hoarding, stage backdrops, and large indoor exhibition walls. Printed on wide-format solvent or eco-solvent printers at 720–1440 DPI. Finished with eyelets for hanging or hemmed edges for frame mounting.

  • Frontlit flex: Standard white PVC, 280–340 GSM. Lit from the front. Outdoor and indoor use.
  • Backlit flex: Translucent PVC, used in lightbox frames. Requires a lightbox stand — not a standalone product.
  • Star flex: Reinforced PVC, heavier (440 GSM+), more tear-resistant, better for repeated outdoor use.

Flex banner cost is calculated per square foot and depends on material — standard frontlit flex is the most economical option, star flex (reinforced, more tear-resistant) costs more, and backlit (translucent) flex costs the most. Larger backdrops cost proportionately more than smaller ones. Share your dimensions and material preference for an exact quote.

3. Standees and Pop-Up Displays

Free-standing display units such as roll-up standees, with printed flex or banner graphics. They stand on their own without external support, and suit stall fronts, reception areas and backdrops. Cost depends on the size and the material chosen; share your requirement for a quote.

Urgent Exhibition Printing

Exhibition orders often arrive with short deadlines. Express production may be possible for selected jobs, depending on the product, quantity, artwork readiness and current production schedule. Send your print-ready file, stall dimensions and the date you need it by, and we will confirm whether it is achievable before accepting the order.

Typical lead times vary by product, quantity, customization and finishing. Final delivery timelines are confirmed at quotation/order stage.

File Specifications for Exhibition Banners

Large-format print files are different from standard print files. Most exhibition display printing problems trace back to incorrect file preparation:

  • Resolution: 72–150 DPI at actual print size (not 300 DPI — large format is viewed from distance, not close-up). Sending a 300 DPI A4 file scaled to 6×3 ft produces a pixelated result.
  • Colour mode: CMYK. RGB files will be converted. Colours can shift, especially blues and greens.
  • Format: PDF (print-ready), TIFF, or high-resolution JPG. AI and PSD files are accepted but require font embedding and flattening.
  • Bleed: 50–100mm bleed on all sides for flex banners (unlike the 3mm used for paper print). Eyelets and hems eat into edges.
  • Safe zone: Keep critical content (logo, headline, contact) at least 100mm from any edge for flex banners.
  • Text: Convert all fonts to outlines or embed them. Missing fonts are the most common cause of exhibition print delays.

Checklist: Preparing Your Exhibition Stall Print Order

  • ☑ Confirm stall dimensions and banner placement positions before designing
  • ☑ Check venue rules. Some exhibitions restrict floor-to-ceiling flex or require fire-retardant materials
  • ☑ Order roll-up replacement graphics if you have existing cassettes — much cheaper than full units
  • ☑ Include your WhatsApp/QR code on banners. Visitors scan rather than carry leaflets
  • ☑ Order 10–15% extra leaflets/brochures. Exhibition consumption is always higher than estimated
  • ☑ Confirm delivery address is the venue, not office. Large exhibition centres have dedicated goods entry points
  • ☑ For multi-city exhibitions, ship display sets in advance. Don't hand-carry large banners on flights
